The Dos and Don'ts of Fitness
How (and how not) to get your body into fit and healthy shape:
Since I’m a Fitness Coach, people often assume that my secret to success is “whipping up a killer workout routine” that sheds fat and sculpts your body into Michaelangelo’s insanely fit physique. However, I have learned that the hardest part of transforming other people’s bodies is not actually fitness. It is, in fact, making your body a priority, regardless of anything that is going on around you (break-ups, cheating, divorce, job loss, career setbacks, family issues, a busy schedule, etc.).
I have learned that mastering our thoughts is the most important kind of mastery; it is the prerequisite for our bodies’ transformations. If we skip this part, then the weight loss, the healthy eating, and the regular exercise will be only temporary. Shaping our bodies must start with our thoughts.
This discovery started with my personal story. Because of the extreme diets I followed while competing in all those elite fitness competitions, I developed an eating disorder. Although I knew all the “secret” exercises for how to get into pristine shape, none of them worked to get me back to my normal eating and return to normal life.
Following my final “bad food night,” I got down on my knees next to my bed and cried, “God, what do you want from me? I have tried EVERYTHING!” The answer that came to me was unexpected: “Do you want to FREE yourself from your burden? Then you must choose Yourself, not the burden!” And that was IT: you must choose YOURSELF, your happy, self-loving thoughts, instead of everyday problems. You must unapologetically love yourself, and you MUST learn how to light your own candle by choosing YOURSELF and your own happy thoughts.
Betrayal of yourself is the highest form of betrayal.
I believe that keeping our bodies in good shape and freeing ourselves from extreme food or alcohol consumption is a matter of seeing our bodies as a whole, and that means sculpting our bodies from the inside out.
I thought it was just my body I needed to work on, but it was something much deeper. We spend so much time and money on our bodies (hair, nails, wrinkles, coaches, retreats), but we neglect the seeds (thoughts) of the creations (our bodies). Truthfully, if we were wiser, we would bypass the physical body and go straight to the seeds, which are the basic blocks of the life we live.
And here is the point I want to make with this article: if we struggle to lose weight and build efficiently strong and fit bodies, we must learn and utilize the Universal Law of Attraction for our benefit, so it’s not working against us. This law centers around the universal truth that like attracts like.
Because of my non-believer background (I grew up in a communist country), I admit that I struggled with this law — mostly because I had a hard time believing we have the ability to create realities using our thoughts. For a non-believer, it is such an “absurd” thing. So, I did my own searching and used my own common sense and knowledge about science to understand this Law of Attraction. I wanted to see just how it could possibly be that our lives are the result of our own thoughts.
I knew that, if we break an atom in half, we get two identical, smaller atoms. And we can keep on splitting and splitting until…well actually, it never stops. There is no end, because the “end” is Energy itself. We can’t destroy it, we can’t cancel it… BUT, we can change it, which I had no problem believing and understanding. And then, if we follow the steps in reverse by putting the energy together, we get a huge cluster of energy that becomes heavy and turns into Matter. Thus, the seeds of all things you want to create, including your fit and strong body, start as your thoughts. Understanding the life of the universe will help you to understand the life of the universe inside you.
I know how unrealistic it sounds to think positive, loving thoughts when you are down. However, and this is important, I said, “like attracts like,” and that’s just it. The law doesn’t divide energy into categories (job, relationship, pets, finances, family, friends, health, losing weight). So, you don’t have to think, “I am lean, I am lean” in order to attract leanness. You simply have to feel love and appreciation toward something for which you are truly thankful: kids are doing great at school, job is good, parents are healthy, friends are awesome and supportive, your talents, your pets…there must be at least one thing that you are happy about. Use it, whatever it is, to bring your Energy into “appreciation/positive vibration” mode. This Energy will attract the same Energy as being happy about having a lean body, which will ultimately attract the final result: your fit body.
But I must remind you that superficial beliefs won’t “cut it,” because the lyrics must match the music. Therefore, simply speaking the affirmations but not fully believing in them all the way to your bones is like singing the lyrics of one song while playing the music of another.
So, the process of creation begins with a thought, then it moves on to words and then actions. Once you understand this, you will take full control of your thoughts and your way of thinking by resetting your default “automatic thinking” (like “I will never lose weight,” or “Having an unfit body is in my DNA”) into truly purposeful thinking. Your life will “take off.” Taking charge of your thoughts might seem hard at the beginning, and it will require some self-training. But look how well you’ve trained yourself toward the default.
Choose your thoughts.
I am certain you have heard this statement so many times, read about it on social media — and unfortunately, because it’s everywhere, it has become cliche. We take it for granted, just like breathing in and breathing out. But what is the consequence of not breathing? It is the same consequence as letting someone else’s thoughts build up and run your life. You owe it to yourself to think loving and positive thoughts. However, I am not talking about becoming a selfish, narcissistic bitch *wink.*
I am talking about being ultimately loyal to the Masterpiece you were created to be, and showing up for yourself with respect and love — no matter what. In order to be helpful to your family, your children, your husband, and your parents, you must first take care of your own needs and seeds/thoughts — without exception.
Decide Who you are and what shape you are in-–
and then do everything in your power to be that.
So, to answer my question, how don’t you get your body into your desired shape? By always coming back to your old default thoughts.

I am priority #1.
Pain shapes me into the CEO of my own life.
I lack nothing.
I am CEO of my own body.
I like who I am becoming, a lot.
I have designed the body I love.
I sparkle the most when I am Me.
I now dance to the very song which used to make me cry.
Today’s reminder: I LOVE ME.
