Thank you, God, for wrecking my plans.
I have noticed the rise of an interesting movement over the past few months of teaching Pilates classes. At least once a week after the class, a member comes up to me to express thanks for my classes and gratitude — not only for her stronger and pain-free body, but also for helping her to feel better and more joyful. After a more extended conversation, we discuss spiritual growth, Faith, and God. Interestingly, it is not me who guides the discussion into Faith and God. It is always the members themselves who lead the conversation in that direction and who want to know about my spiritual growth process.
Every time I share my journey of Faith and Fitness with my clients, I smile inwardly because I know this is God’s work. HE has guided me through my journey of pain and tears so I can better understand what others go through. I know what my clients and members of the Pilates studio go through, and I understand it is not just physical pain. Thanks to my own journey, I recognize that it is mostly psychological and emotional pain that connects us.
There is a member who used to come to my class every once in a while. I couldn’t help but notice her cold, frumpy energy.
