As summer is indeed here, it is important to stay hydrated. This article is about “Smart Hydration.”
“What do you mean by Smart Hydration?” you might ask. “What is so Smart about drinking water?” When it comes to smart drinking water, you need to consider the temperature of the water (ice or cold water vs. room temperature or warm water), as well as the timing and amount of drinking water.
As I always say, “Knowledge is power!” This statement also applies for when you drink your water, and what temperature of water you should be drinking for maximum hydration benefits. I also like to say, “If you’re going to do it, do it right!” In other words, don’t waste your time and effort when you are doing something.
Here are some facts to consider so that you can make your water drinking the most efficient and beneficial to your body:
Cold/Ice Water:
My friends and family know that when I ask for water at a restaurant, I always say, “No ice, please,” because I live in the USA and the first thing you receive at the restaurant tables is ice water. However, if Americans travel abroad, they often find it strange that in many countries, ice water and iced drinks are not served at restaurants with meals at all.
